Could you become involved in a documentary?

Channel 4 have approached TAROE asking if we could forward this request for any relevant/interested party.  If you are interested, can you please contact Tom directly.  His email is below:

My name is Tom Woolfenden and I am an Assistant Producer with Renegade Pictures, a television production company based in London.

We are making 'The Secrets of Buildings', a Channel 4 Arts and Open University co-production. The series, presented by Times architecture critic Tom Dyckhoff, aims to explore the relationship between architecture, its makers and its users.

Over three programmes looking at the Workplace, the Home and Leisure, the series combines a photographically stunning exploration of buildings, with the most visually interesting hi-tech methods of studying sensual experience and behaviour in the spaces we feature.

Broadcast on Channel 4 in Autumn 2011, the series will be featuring a wide selection of high profile architects, with interviews from Lord Foster, Zaha Hadid, Rem Koolhaas, Lord Rogers and Frank Gehry just to name a few.

I’m currently working on the programme about Homes.  We are interested in the key elements that are needed in a good home, especially light, space, privacy and a sense of community.

A segment of this programme is about the lack of space within many newly built houses and estates around the country and how there needs to be a minimum size standard set for houses within England and Wales. Many homes do not have enough space for storage, celings are too low, windows are too small, overcrowding has increased and they need to be improved.

We are looking for examples around the country of areas that suffer especially from this problem so that we can interview a family, allow them to voice their concerns about their home, and give them the chance to have a dialogue with the developer of the home about their problems.

If you know of any areas or families in particular that fit the criteria we are looking for, and would like to be involved with the documentary, then please do contact me on

Thank you very much
